Create Wallpapers

Learn how to use the image created by QRcard as the wallpaper of your phone

QRcard saves your wallpaper image to your photos. Setting it as the wallpaper of your phone, usually the lock screen, lets others scan your QR code without you having to open the app.

Wallpapers are still fully supported, but we recommend lock screen widgets instead: a widget updates when your card data changes, while a wallpaper is a static image. After you change your card, create a new wallpaper.

Set the image as your wallpaper

Step by step instructions

  1. Open the Photos app: The saved wallpaper is the most recent photo in your library. Tap it to open it.
  2. Tap the Share button in the bottom left corner, scroll down the list of actions and tap Use as Wallpaper.
  3. Check the preview: The image already has the size of your screen, so there is no need to move or zoom it. If the image shifts when you tilt your phone, turn off the perspective zoom (the icon at the bottom of the screen).
  4. Confirm: Tap Add, then choose Set as Wallpaper Pair to use it for both the lock screen and the home screen. Choose Customize Home Screen instead to keep your current home screen.

Additional Tips

  • Keep the QR code visible: Lock screen widgets and notifications can cover parts of the image. If someone can't scan your code, remove them or move the QR code in QRcard and create a new wallpaper.
  • Change it later: Press and hold the lock screen, then tap Customize to switch the wallpaper.
